You can literally put chalkboard paint on anything and everything. They have these amazing chalkboard pens that you write on chalkboard and can be easily erased with water. I recently threw my husband a 40th birthday party and each guest got a wine glass or beer glass souvenir with their name on it. The theme of the party was Texas so I bought chalkboard contact paper and cut out outlines of the state of Texas. I then wrote each guest’s name on a wine glass or beer pint glass that they could take home (I got the wine glasses at the dollar store and the beer glasses at Wal-Mart for 1.00 each).
Chalkboard Paint is the easiest way to turn a plain item into something really fun! They sell the cans at any home improvement or craft store. You can paint it on any surface. They have chalkboard paint that is magnetic and you can hang things on it!
My friend Jenny bought a house that was on a design show on HGTV. The designer painted the kitchen door in chalkboard paint. Corrin copied her and did it in her last house. It is a fun way to liven up things!
Teacher gifts: I copied this idea from my friend Carrie Bryant. Go to the dollar store and buy picture frames. Paint the glass with chalkboard paint. Buy a flower at the dollar store (or Hobby Lobby) and hot glue the flower on the frame. Write the teacher’s name in chalk.
Picture background: Take a piece of wood and paint the background with chalkboard paint. You can use chalkboard paint pens to write a message or just keep it plain. The board can be used over and over.
Finally you can paint a wall.
