After the bottom has hardened, spread the rest of the Twinkie with chocolate. Immediately add fun topics. I like using coconut because I feel it gives a nice finished look.
I saw this on Pinterest and decided it would be a fun activity for the kids and something we could bring to a play date.
– White or milk chocolate bark (found in the baking aisle)
– Fun toppings (nuts, sprinkles, candy bars, coconut, peppermint)
You need a clear glass bowl to melt the chocolate in the microwave. Melt 6 cubes for 30 seconds, take out and stir, and continue with 30 second increments until melted.
Spread the bottom of the Twinkie with chocolate and place in freezer for about a minute or two to harden. My niece Abbey discovered this trick and it made dipping the rest and decorating much easier!
We placed them in treat bags.
I can honestly say I tried to not have one bite because of the million calories they contain. I caved and will say they tasted SO good! It was worth every calorie!
