We are so blessed! For months we have planned this adult only, weekend getaway to Fredericksburg, Texas.
I will break this post into two parts- why our home rental was perfect, and why the location (Fredericksberg) was perfect!

First, Christa found this truly unique home rental, called Canary House, a few blocks away from Main Street. It was very spacious, had a great location, and had the most comfortable king and queen sized beds.

The house was sooo nice! It was decorated with bright colors and had lots of extra touches that made our stay more enjoyable!

The bedrooms and bathrooms had lots of storage to unpack your belongings.

We loved all the small touches the owners thought of. In the kitchen they had glass jars filled with cans, a wide variety of coffee and teas, and lots of snacks we were welcome to.

We loved the unique furniture.

We loved the outdoor glass firepit.

The house had a large tv in the living room!

We felt the cost of the rental ($240.00 per couple for 2 nights) was very reasonable.
Next, I will share why Fredericksburg, Texas is an ideal weekend getaway location.

First, the town is very charming. It has a cute Main Street filled with unique shops, art galleries, and restaurants.

Based on reccomendations from our friend Adam who has visited Fredericksburg quite often, we had breakfast at Sunset Grill. The food was some of the best we have eaten. If you have a chance to stop by, order the Huevos Rancheros!

After breakfast we drove a few miles to Luckenbach, Texas! The weather was awesome and we enjoyed seeing the large dance hall.

Next, Dave, Tara, Lance, and I took a bus and visited several wineries. Christa and Brad decided to do some shopping in the town and forgo the wineries. They aren’t drinking right now, so they decided to take it easy.

Later that evening we met up for a nice dinner at Crossroad Steak House. It was very good!
Overall, I would say we had the perfect weekend! It was so nice and so relaxing. The weather was beautiful!!! We are blessed!
Here are a couple of cute pictures my mother-in-law sent of the girls.

They don’t seem to notice we aren’t there.
