I subscribe to Family Fun Magazine and read about this fun idea in this month’s magazine (November 2015).
The day after Thanksgiving every year, the Stoney family of Littelton, Massachusetts hosts a Leftover Pie Party.
What does this mean?
The Stoney’s invite family and friends to come over in the afternoon and bring their leftover pies from their Thanksgiving meals. They send an Evite and tell people they are welcome to come over anytime between 1:00 and 6:00 PM. The only thing that the Stoney’s have to provide are the drinks. They serve coffee, tea, and apple cider.
I think that people would up their pie game if they knew the leftovers would be making an appearance at the next day’s pie exchange.
It is low cost party (only having to provide drinks).
It is easy to organize.
My question for you is this: Who else out there thinks that this is a genius idea?
