Calendar Art: Simple Solution For Large Walls

art 1I don’t know about you guys but I hate small pictures on large walls.

Large art can be expensive so I think people sometimes choose to just put the small picture up.

I decided I wanted to do some “finishing touches to my house.”  I hired an awesome decorator (Angela) to help me with this project.  (I will do a blog about my great experience with her when a few more things I ordered come in:)

Angela gave me tons of great ideas and tips.  One of the big walls in my living room had a few pictures that I felt were outdated. My Louisiana roots are very important to me, therefore I have many pictures that depict the Cajun culture throughout the house.

art 2My husband loves Texas so I decided that we needed add a little “Texas” into our home.

Of course I also went to Pintrest and saw lots of neat things.

art 5Here is a BEFORE picture of the wall:

blogger-image-2023689322I went on Amazon and ordered a Texas calendar that had different famous places in Texas.

Next, I went to Hobby Lobby and bought black frames.

Hobby Lobby cut white mats to go around the calendar pictures.

Finally, my husband hung them!

art 3The six photos all represent unique places in Texas that represent its culture and beauty.  Some pictures include the Alamo, Enchanted Rock, and a scenic picture in Corpus Christi.

My question for you is this:  What calendar would you get framed?
