Let’s face it. Many of us don’t have time to watch tv during the day and so we inevitably start binge watching a series on Netflix. Dave and I are always looking for a funny series that we can watch together, ideally one that we can watch with the girls in the room.
We (along with Christa and Brad) are currently binge watching Raising Hope. This sitcom originally aired on Fox from 2010-2014.
The premise for the show is that Jimmy, a 21-year-old who impregnates a serial killer during a one-night stand, earns custody of his daughter and lives with his oddball family. I know the storyline sounds stupid, but it really is funny. The show was written by many of the same writers as My Name Is Earl and has won several awards. If you are looking for something funny to watch at night, this is the show for you!
Other shows that we recommend include Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Broadchurch, Royal Pains, and Bloodline (slow at first). Here is another blog we wrote about other shows we have binge watched.
Also, a really good Netflix original movie called The Fundaments of Caring (staring Paul Rudd) is worth watching. It is a very touching story about loss and hope.
Our question for you, what should our next binge watching series be?
